Here at Co-operative Insurance, we're very proud of our claims commitment. We're dedicated to giving you a first class service and aim to:

• respond to all claims notifications within 24 hours of receipt
• respond to all correspondence within 5 working days
• issue settlement cheques within 24 hours of receiving the required documents

But before you call, make sure you have these details handy:

• Name and address of the policyholder and the policy number
• details of the claim including the date of the incident, how the incident occurred, the damage caused, property lost and any injuries sustained
• the registration number of the vehicle, the name and address of the driver and insurance details from the other party involved (e.g. name, address, name of insurer and policy number).
• if you have the Enhanced Courtesy Car optional add-on active on your policy then please have with you a crime reference number (if applicable) and details of any special requirements (e.g. automatic transmission, child car seat, tow bar).

So, after you've called the claims number above, we will:

• give advice, assistance and reassurance at a time when it is needed most
• offer immediate practical assistance
• ensure a rapid response in line with our claims commitments
• obtain details of the third party to enable us, where appropriate, to offer them assistance too
