What do you need to do?
Send a certified copy of the death certificate to:

Destroy any cards in the deceased account holder's name.
Cancel any continuous authorities with the company concerned that relate solely to the deceased account holder. These are regular automatic payments. (examples of this type of payment are AA, RAC).
When we receive the details wee will remove the name from the account. The sort code and account number will stay the same, so the sole account holder can continue to use the account and cheque book. We will send out a new cheque book as soon as possible.
