Automated voice messaging

The traditional approach to contacting customers experiencing payment difficulties is by phone, letter, or visit.

While attempts to contact customers continue to be by phone, this initiative uses an automated voice messaging service.

The service is used to:

  • Obtain promises to pay
  • Collect payments over the phone
  • Transfer special cases to a collector
  • Diarise responses and automatically re-call if required.

This service is currently being used to contact customers who have missed their agreed credit card payment. In the future, we plan to use this service for Current Accounts & Personal Loan collections.

If you have missed a payment and wish to make a payment over the phone please call us on 0845 600 1170.

Calls to 0845 numbers will cost no more than 4p per minute for BT customers. Calls to 0870 numbers will cost no more than 8p per minute for BT customers. Call charges from other companies may vary and you may want to check this with your service provider.
