Make a claim

In the unfortunate event that you need to make a claim on a Co-operative Life or Health Insurance policy, we’ll try to make things as simple and as easy as possible for you. We’re here to help and support you through your claim.

Life, critical illness and permanent health insurance

If you need to make a claim on a Co-operative life, critical illness or permanent health insurance policy, simply call our UK based Customer Contact Centre on:

Please ensure you have your policy number to hand before you call.

We will endeavor do our utmost to handle your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible and will aim to:

  • Respond to your claim within 5 business days.
  • We may need to obtain medical evidence.
  • Issue settlement cheques within 5 business days of us accepting the claim.

Income protection insurance

If you need to make a claim on a Co-operative income protection insurance policy, simply call our UK based Customer Contact Centre on:

We will endeavor do our utmost to handle your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible and will:

  • A request for a claim pack will be issued by the next working day
  • Following return of your claim pack medical evidence will be obtained to assess your claim
  • If your claim is accepted, payment will be made within 5 working days.
